OSHA 2264 – Permit-Required Confined Space Entry

This course covers the safety and health hazards associated with permit-required confined space entry. Course topics include recognition of confined space hazards, identification of permit and non-permit required confined spaces, use of instrumentation to evaluate atmospheric hazards, ventilation techniques, development and implementation of a confined space program, proper signage, and training requirements. This course features workshops on permit entry classification, instrumentation, and program development. Upon course completion students will have the ability to identify permit and non-permit required confined spaces, reference the OSHA Permit-Required Confined Spaces Standard, conduct atmospheric testing, and implement a permit-required confined space program.

OSHA 2264 and the CONFINED SPACE TRAINER course combined presented by the Chesapeake Region Safety Council, is recommended for inspectors, auditors, safety and health professionals and those personnel responsible for writing, auditing, or training employees with an active role in permit space entry. This course was developed and designed to educate participants to train about all aspects of 29 CFR 1910.146. OSHA 2264 is the pre-requisite for the Confined Space Train The Trainer course and must be registered for separately.

Venue

To register for an OSHA Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT), you must provide at least one(1) address within the OSHA Philadelphia Region (formerly Region 3). The states are: Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, Delaware, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. This applies to your Permanent Mailing Address, Material Shipping Address, Company Mailing Address, and/or Billing Address.

If you register for a VILT training and none of your provided addresses are within the OSHA Philadelphia Region, you will not be eligible for a full refund.

If you are unable to provide a residential or work address within the OSHA Philadelphia Region, you will need to register for a class at one of the Education Centers within your own region. If you need further assistance, please call our office at 800-875-4770 .
