OSHA Safety and Health Fundamentals Certificate Programs in Construction, General Industry, and the Maritime Industry

Steps to complete

  • Complete a total of seven courses, comprised of 3 required courses and 4 elective courses. A minimum total of 68 contact hours must be completed for the Construction and General Industry Certificates and 77 contact hours for the Maritime Certificate.
  • Register for courses at https://www.oshamidatlantic.org/
  • Courses taken at other OTI Education Centers are transferable and can count toward the certificate programs.

Steps to apply

  • Once training requirements are completed, fill out the application below.
  • Submit copies of all applicable course certificates with your application to Mid Atlantic OTI Education Center (MAOTIEC) via email to info@staging3.oshamidatlantic.org, or my mail to 2555 Lord Baltimore Dr., STE M-R, Baltimore, MD 21244.
    Even if you took all of your courses with MAOTIEC, we still need copies of all course certificates in order to process your application.
  • The processing fee for each certificate application is $95.00.
  • Checks can be make it out to: Chesapeake Region Safety Council.
  • Please allow approximately 4 -6 weeks for processing.

Credit Card Payment Update

Effective August 1, 2026, a 3% surcharge will be applied to all credit card payments (personal, corporate, business, and purchasing cards).
